28th of Last Seed 4E201
We got up early today and had a nice breakfast before heading out to the bandit hideout. The little girl, whose name was Hrefna, told us goodbye and to come back and tell us more about our adventures. I gave her one of the gold rings I had made to remember me by, and promised to visit again someday.

A mage attacked us on the way to the bandit hideout. She was carrying a spell book, that taught the spell Fury.
I decided to learn it, just for the sake of the knowledge. Maybe I could cast it on a bandit sometime and have them attack other bandits.

Outside of the bandits' cave, they had placed burned corpses on spikes, and there were skulls on the ground and blood everywhere. I had a hard time thinking of a reason why I shouldn't kill these people.

It took most of the day, but we managed to defeat all of the bandits in the cave. We decided to head back to Darkwater Crossing and tell Annekke the news, then rest there for the night again before continuing on our journey tomorrow morning.

When we had nearly gotten back, we stopped by three men drinking by the roadside. They asked if I would like to join them in having some Honningbrew mead. I declined, but offered to give them the bottle I had in my pack in thanks for their kindness. They thanked me, and gave me an enchanted necklace for my 'good deed'. One of them was nearly naked, and I kept having to avert my eyes in case his loincloth shifted in the breeze.

We stopped near the bridge out of town to wash off the blood before talking to the residents of Darkwater Crossing again. I didn't want to scare them. I wondered why the men by the  road hadn't said anything, then remembered that they had seemed rather drunk.

Annekke was happy that we had killed the bandits, and showed me some tips she had learned about wearing light armor effectively. She even offered to come with me on my travels, but I didn't take her up on the offer. I didn't want to endanger her life out there, even if she had been an adventurer once.

It was still a bit before dark, so I decided to do some mining to help them out in return for their hospitality and kindness. Annekke's husband, Verner, even offered to pay me for any ore I mined. As I was mining, I overheard Hrefna talking to Sondas about Morrowind. She said that she heard that it was black and gross and that no one wanted to live there anymore. He said that he'd have to take her word on it, since he'd never been there. If she only knew how right she was.

I went out of the mine to sell the ore to Verner, and I saw the three revelers on their porch. One was sweeping, one was sharpening a sword, and the one wearing only a loincloth was sitting there eating some bread. It was the strangest thing. Verner paid me a good price for the ore though.

Hrefna talked  to us for hours, then finally fell asleep. I hoped she would stay safe, and that the war and dragons would never come here.
