20th of Last Seed 4E201
Breakfast was also delicious! And I slept so good that all my soreness melted away. I got up refreshed, and headed out to chop more wood.

I got into a fight after a delivery of firewood to Hulda.. A woman in the inn, named Uthgerd, walked up to me and got in my face, challenging me to a fight. She seemed a little drunk, and I was going to back away slowly, but then she added that she'd bet me one hundred septims that she could knock my hide to the ground. I decided that I could use the money, and accepted. I barely managed to beat her, and healed myself after I had the coinpurse in my hands. Totally worth it. She seemed impressed, and offered to travel with me so she could see how I handled trolls. I declined, since she was a bit drunk, and because I wanted to hire Jenassa.

I recounted my gold and decided to stop at one of the market stalls for some lunch before chopping more wood. Carlotta, the owner of one of them thanked me for my business and we made small talk. She mentioned having trouble with the men in town, especially the bard Mikael. I offered to talk to him for her, and she shrugged and said I could try, but that it likely wouldn't do any good.

I got into yet another fight, this time with Mikael. I tried persuading him to leave Carlotta alone, but he just called me jealous and refused. I won, again, and he swore that he would leave her alone. She was very happy, albeit surprised that I had managed to get  him to stop chasing her, and rewarded me with two-hundred and fifty septims. I started to wonder if I could fight anyone else in town for some extra coin.

I decided to go ahead and hire Jenassa, since I had enough to now, plus some extra. Maybe she could help me decide on what supplies we would need. Plus I didn't want anyone else hiring her and leaving me stuck with that Uthgerd woman.

Jenassa and I talked, and decided that we would need more supplies than I had money for. She offered to help chop wood, since she felt that she'd gotten lazy waiting for someone to hire her. I accepted and borrowed her map to make notes in my journal. I also wrote down plants I had found and what I could use them for, and made a rough map, adding places I had been so far. I wondered if we'd be able to get supplies and spell books.

We sold more wood  to Hulda, and she mentioned  a  bounty letter that had been dropped off by one of the guards. I took it and showed it to Jenassa, who thought it would be a good way to make some money. It was for the death of  the bandit  leader located at Redoran's Retreat. We decided to have some dinner and rest  at the inn, and head out in the morning to stop the bandit leader. Jenassa seemed to smile a little too much at the thought of ending his life. I was thankful that she was on my side.

I decided to try and think of something to name the dog tomorrow.
